I cannot believe you were never into nature, your photographs show true beauty and the magic of this world! You are an inspiration to others. Thank you so much for sharing and giving ever one the chance to see nature first hand, especially when it is impossible to see for our selves first hand, this is the closest some will get.

Great pictures.I've been going to Bulgaria since 2006 as my wife and I own a property there.My wife and I have seen some wonderful sights when there and you have captured them perfectly.

hi i just wanted to say how beautiful your photos are and im glad to see the real bulgaria not the rubbish overbuilt areas spoilt by tourists i remember a coach trip from vidin and the sun was rising over the danube and i was in awe it was early morning and it brought tears to my eyes it was the most amazing thing i have seen in my life if you ever get chance to get some photos of this i would be so grateful keep up this work it is much appreciated a big thank you for letting me see this wonderful real country where many people have big hearts from sam x

Your pictures are stunning, Darren. I love the ones of Exmouth too -spent many a happy time on holiday in the area, and the pictures fill me with nostalgia. Love the 'laughing donkey' too! Great stuff.

Once again thanks for the comments.
Manu Redneck, I am not sure why the locals react the way they do to snakes especially as there are so few that are actually dangerous. I assume it is to do with eggs and chicks etc. Anyway I personally find them amazing and hope you like the pic on the "animals" page. Incidentally my bulgarian friend wouldn,t come any where near it and offered me a lump of wood which I declined.

Fantastic photography i came across you site whilst researching Bulgarian insects i have a house in Bulgaria and have never seen as many different insects ever and would like to find a site that will tell me about them all or even a book written in English of course
