Working at the IWC
Last year I was asked by the Green Balkans if I would be interested in working on a project aimed at reintroducing the Saker Falcon back into the wilds of Bulgaria, I was told that I would need to go to Wales to train at the International Wildlife Consultants facility where each year they breed over 200 Falcons. Due to the vast amount of birds I would be dealing with I would naturally learn much faster than I could by sytaying and learning in Bulgaria, also as a Brit the language would not be a problem and I would be able to understand better and ask the right questions when needed.
So in March 2013 I arrived at the IWC and began my training.
